Choose one of the
1. Character Diary:
WRITE THE DIARY A MAIN CHARACTER MIGHT HAVE WRITTEN in first person point of view. Imagine you are the person in your book. Write a diary for a few days or weeks as she or he would have done. Be sure you address the plot, other characters, setting and theme.
**Minimum 8 entries, 1 paragraph each and 8 illustrations (1 per entry).
**Do NOT copy sentences from the book.
2. BOOK Hanging MOBILE:
FASHION A MOBILE FROM ELEMENTS OF FICTION RELATED T0 YOUR BOOK. Be sure to include each part of the plot identified (exposition, rising action, conflict, climax, and resolution), characters, setting and theme.
3. Graphic novel:
Summarize your novel in your Own Graphic Novel. You can draw the graphic novel or use a website. It should include at least 20 pages, and tell about the plot, characters, setting and theme. Make sure you send a copy to yourself, plus print out the graphic novel to bring to class.
6. Think you have a better idea?If none of these options appeal to you, you are welcome to come up with your idea of a great way to show us all of the elements of fiction in your book. (It cannot be an option of first semester.)Your idea MUST be approved in writing by your language arts teacher at least 3 weeks before the due date of the project.
**FOR ALL CHOICES, YOU MUST INCLUDE THE TITLE OF THE BOOK AND THE AUTHOR!!!!********************************************Teachers’ Friendly Advice**There is no summary paragraph option. In other words, do not merely summarize the book, or think that copying the dust jacket will stand as a book project. Also, do NOT use notebook paper and/or pencil. This will result in point deduction. We are looking for quality work.
Remember, you are trying to prove with details that you read the book. Show us what you know!!!

4. Cast/ film location for movie: PUT TOGETHER A CAST and SETTING FOR THE FILM VERSION OF A BOOK. Imagine the director-producer wants a casting director to make recommendations. Decide who would be the actors and actresses. Include photos and descriptions of the stars and tell why each is "perfect" for the part. Do the same for the location for the filming of the movie. Write a report to convince the producer of the selections with those pictures/ photos. ** IF THIS IS ALREADY A MOVIE, THEN CHOOSE NEW ACTORS/ FILM LOCATIONS THAN ARE USED IN REALITY 5. Book in a bag: Using a paper grocery bag, illustrate your favorite scene (on the front of the bag), and create a 1 page summary that includes the plot elements (on the back of the bag). Inside of the bag, place/create 5 items that relate to the plot or characters. Be sure to explain their significance of the contents on the sides of the bag. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
